Cargo aircraft on the apron ready for freight

Air when the line is late.

Air freight is not a prestige product. It is the mode you choose when the factory, the shelf, or the site cannot wait on the next sailing.

Manufacturers say it plainly: air when the line is late, sea when volume grows. That is not a slogan. It is how you keep a plant from stopping, and how you stop paying lift for cube that can wait.

Progress Logistics chooses the mode against the cargo. Air is the right call when the clock is the constraint - spare parts, a late production slot, inbound stock that cannot miss a window. It is the wrong call when the consignment is volume that should have been planned on the water.

Pay for time, not for habit.

A mixed consignment can split. The slice that keeps the line running flies. The rest follows by sea. That only works if one desk owns both legs and the clearance, so you are not running two forwarders against the same purchase order.

  • Name the date the cargo must be useful - not only the origin airport.
  • Say what happens if it misses that date, so air is justified against a real cost.
  • Keep customs in the same file. Lift that arrives uncleared is still late.

The quote needs the clock.

Origin, destination, cargo, and the date it must land. Preferred mode can be air, or a combination. Without the clock, air is a guess - and guesses are how you overpay.

The desk

A note is not a quote. Cargo still needs a plan.

Origin, destination, cargo, and a preferred mode. The Dubai desk will start the movement - sea, air, land, and customs as one file.
