Freight trucks on the road with commercial cargo

Blogs/Land

The land leg has to share the clock.

Port to warehouse, UAE to GCC: the road is not a separate company. If it does not sit on the same clock as the sea or air freight, the movement already stalled.

Distributors know the stall: the vessel arrived, the truck did not. Or the truck is ready and the file is still at the border. Land is treated as an afterthought - a local vendor called when the box is already in the yard.

We run land as part of the same movement. UAE inland, onward GCC, project cargo to site. The road is chosen against the consignment, not offered as a fleet for hire.

Onward from the hub.

Dubai is the seat. Cargo comes in by sea or air, then has to move. The GCC stretch is where a "port-only" booking becomes someone else's problem. A freight partner stays on it until the warehouse or the site has the cargo.

  • Port or airport to stock on the same clock as the inbound freight.
  • UAE to GCC as a planned onward leg, not a weekend scramble.
  • Project cargo to site - planned through the mix, stayed with until it lands.

Name the last mile of freight.

A quote that stops at the terminal is not origin-to-destination. Say where the cargo must be useful: warehouse, site, or onward GCC. The land leg can then share the clock instead of starting when everything else is already late.

The desk

A note is not a quote. Cargo still needs a plan.

Origin, destination, cargo, and a preferred mode. The Dubai desk will start the movement - sea, air, land, and customs as one file.
